Burnsville Food Shelf closed indefintely

This memorandum is an update to the original post on April 8th.

The Fruit of the Vine Food Shelf located in Burnsville will not be opening again.

Construction on the facility has not begun although projected for completion by early June.

South Metro Vineyard Church has taken this opportunity to renegotiate the lease to the food shelf. After consideration, the Board of Directors for Vineyard Community Services has rejected the proposal.

This change in vision by the church brings an end to a twelve-year history in Burnsville that included serving over 198,646 household visits with over 13,451,872 pounds of food as well as the establishment of two churches in Burnsville and Saint Paul.

We are thankful to God and the South Metro Vineyard Church for the opportunity and privilege to be His hands and feet and to serve the communities of the Twin Cities.

Our Fruit of the Vine Saint Paul location continues the mission to serve individuals and families in crisis. This site is located at 1280 Arcade Street, Saint Paul in the First Covenant Church building every Saturday from 9am to noon. Burnsville also has several great local providers including Prince of Peace Mission Outpost and 360Communities.
