When is your food pantry open?

Public: Tuesday nights from 6pm to 730pm
Saturday mornings from 930am to 1130am
Seniors and Mobility Challenged:
Tuesdays to Fridays, 1pm to 3pm

Can I pickup groceries for a family member?

Yes. You must have your family member’s ID and a note signed by the family member for that specific visit.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, our EIN is 46-1443346.

What documents are needed to apply for food assistance?

One acceptable form of Identification with your current address.

How many times can I visit the food shelf?

You are allowed two visits per month; please review your needs with our Intake volunteer when you first visit the food shelf. We are not a grocery store and serve emergency hunger relief and anticipate people to require our needs no longer than five months.

How do I apply for emergency assistance to pay my utility bill?

a. Ask your Intake person to provide you with the VCS Emergency Assistance Application form
b. Complete the form and return all necessary documents
c. Decisions are within two business days

How can I receive emergency dental care?

Please call the dental clinic appointment line: 612-567-3688 and follow the instructions to leave your contact information.

What dental services are covered?

Emergency services only including cavities and extractions

Can I use a phone, fax or Internet service when I visit?

We do not have public phones available;
We will fax transmit you prepared documents;
Internet service is available from the two public work stations in the lobby atrium.

Can I sign up to volunteer at the food shelf?

Yes, when visiting the food shelf you can speak with the Team Leader on how to get involved.
You can also go here for information and to submit your application.

Are there job availability information at the food shelf?

Yes, in the Employment Services area next to the lobby public work stations we provide job listings provided to us from various staffing or hiring companies. Feel free to grab a copy of the job postings.

If I was home bound can you deliver groceries to me?

Yes, if you are located within ten miles of our facility. Not provided during the winter months of November to April.
